Parked at Calder Vale Mill then a party of 18 walked up past the "Long Row" cottages then into the Wood. Climbed through the wood to the church. Lots of Spring flowers around including Bluebells.
Walked through the School to the road and turned left. Continued to the junction and turned left for 100 yards to a large building and had lunch.
Continued to a junction and followed this track past a beautiful white cottage then left at a junction, through a gate with an "access for all" sign. This led onto rough untouched moorland and potential for a future walk.
Retraced our steps and continued in the opposite direction for 100 yards to a wicket gate in a right hand wall with a path leading back to the road opposite a gate and track leading down to Landskill farm.
Continued through the yard to admire the 17th century farmhouse, built in 1697, and talked to the owner.
Continued along the track to a junction. Turned right through a farmyard then a track back to Calder Vale and the entrance to the wood. Walked down past the Long Row and the Mill.
