A party of 25 set off The Dolphin Inn and first walked to the gutter. This was an inlet off the River Douglas and if at high or low tide was good for wildlife. Also over to the left a couple of pools were worth looking at as Avocet and other birds were there looking for food.
We retraced our steps along the embankment, The Ribble Way to the top corner. Followed the way to the right then returned south through fields ending up at the clay pigeon shoot.
It was a lovely evening so we all sat outside to celebrate the birthday of one of our members and had some lovely home made birthday cake.
At one stage we could hear a Corn Bunting and got pictures of it and 3 others in various locations.
