All details of each walk are on the sheet and we look forward to seeing you there. All the Sunday walks will start at 11am from the meeting point. The walks are organised for members so if you have friends who wish to come along please enjoy one but it would be respectful for them to join the Society to continue through the season.
Whilst your safety and well-being are of great importance to the Society, you are ultimately responsible for your own safety and therefore take part at your own risk.

Field Trips and Holidays
Hello Members and Friends of The Preston Society
I am writing to inform you of an early Christmas present for you all in that the Society has arranged two day coach trips for 2025.
Number 1 is to Saltholme RSPB on Teeside, a reserve set against an industrial back drop but with reed beds, wetlands and meadows and the Coastal Path running alongside the Reserve. A chance to enjoy
Avocets, water rail, terns, waders and wildlife.
Our trip is on Sunday 2nd March 2025 departing 7.30am from Penwortham.
The cost is £27 for Preston Society Members
£29 for non members
Number 2 trip is to Conwy RSPB at Llandudno Junction
Sunday 8th June 2025 departing 8.00 am from Penwortham
The cost is £23 for Preston Society Members
£26 for non members
Here we will be able to enjoy wildflowers including orchids, dragonflies as well as nesting birds with their young on the lagoons or waders on the mudflats and saltmarsh of the Conwy estuary and should you
tire of the birds you can always visit Conwy Castle which is less than a mile from the Reserve.
Both reserves have toilets, visitor centre, cafe and shop facilities.
We require a minimum of 30 bookings for each trip to be viable so get yourself an early christmas present for yourself and invite your family, friends, neighbours or anyone you know who shares our interest in birds flora and fauna and get them to come along and enjoy a fun day out.
We are now ready to take your payments for both trips. Our preferred method for payment is by bank transfer to our Barclays account Sort Code 20 69 85 Account number 70727849 reference with your name and trip 1 and/or trip 2.
Many thanks in anticipation of your support to the Society

The Society normally runs a number of field trips during the year, including day trips to different reserves, some by coach and some with car sharing. Priority will be given to members but we welcome visitors if places allow.
If you are interested and might like to become a member, please get in touch on [email protected] or leave a message on 07565 497065 and we will come back to you.
